Google Adwords – First time users Beware – True Story

I am one among the people affected by google adwords! Just go through what I did.

I am new to google adwords, trying to get help from experts…

First day of my campaign, I tried few adwords, seven, with my google account.
No one has clicked. Of course max cpc =0.05 per click.

Next day, I used google’s diagnostic tools.
It gave me 37 keywords, and max cpc = 0.12 as suggested by the tools.

I saw 37 hits with 124000 impressions.
Over night, google automatically inactivate my adwords.
Reason: Quality Score is too low for that word so that is why they are increasing the cost.

If I need to activate it, I need change the cpc to $10 (I was skeptical!).
However, I deleted all keywords, and changed back to $5 cpc with cap 20/day. Good I did put a cap!

I saw only 4 clicks and reached the cap $20 gone…oops very expensive.

Ok Ok Ok. I forgive myself and forget it.

Then, I closed the keywords campaign.
Next day, when I login, It says increase your bid to 0.40 to make it active.

I do not know why they make active and inactive based on the amount.
It says increase the quality score or the amount.
